As we find ourselves already into the second quarter of 2025, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the meaningful work accomplished in the first three months of the year. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and community partners, Blue Thanksgiving has already made a significant impact, and we’re just getting started.
Feeding Our Frontline Heroes During Active Shooter Training One of the highlights of Q1 was our participation in Cobb County’s active shooter training exercises. These intensive sessions are critical in preparing our first responders for the unthinkable, and we were honored to be able to serve them in a way that brings comfort and encouragement: through a hot, freshly prepared meal. Over the course of six days, Blue Thanksgiving provided meals to nearly 1,000 first responders participating in the training. From police officers and deputies to EMS and fire personnel, we ensured every participant was fed and appreciated. Our team served up hearty meals, smiles, and support, reminding these heroes that their service does not go unnoticed. We’re incredibly grateful to the volunteers and sponsors who helped make this effort possible. Feeding this many people is no small task, but with teamwork and a shared mission, we made it happen. Looking Ahead While the year is still young, Blue Thanksgiving has hit the ground running. The success of our Q1 efforts energizes us as we gear up for two of our largest events of the year: Let Them Eat Turkey Golf Tournament – August 25, 2025Held at Brookstone Golf & Country Club, this tournament raises funds to feed on-duty officers working through Thanksgiving Day. We’re seeking teams, sponsors, and volunteers to help make this year’s event a success.
